Cooking School In Lucca 2008
This summer I'll be starting a series of 4 weekly cooking classes & tours of Tuscany.
Weeks: Aug. 17 -24, Aug. 24-31, Aug. 31-Sept 7, Sept. 7-Sept. 14
Our classes will take place in a beautifully renovated Villa/ Convento located about 10 kilometers from Lucca and 60 kilometers from Florence. Our hosts, Daniela & Narciso have returned the villa to its original 19th century décor before it became a Cappuccino Convento. They have taken the old monastic dormitory and divided it into 5 wonderful loft apartments which are being decorated by Antoniella, an artist from Florence. Wait to you see the formal dining room!
Price: $2,965.00
(not including air)
The price for the week at the Villa is $2,965.00 per person double occupancy. This price will hold as long as the dollar doesn't drop any lower.
The price will include:
- Transfer from/to the airport in Pisa. There is a direct Delta flight from JFK to Pisa
- 7 nights double occupancy at the villa with daily maid service
- All Breakfasts, All Lunches, All Dinners including the Three Dinner classes one of which is a Tuscany Style BBQ
Day trips to the following:
- Florence with a visit to the central food market, afternoon is free.
- Siena, Monteriggioni with lunch at il Pozzo, San Gimigniano
- Visit to Pisa, Lucca & Torre del Lago
- Trips to visit local vineyards like Valgiano and MonteCarlo
- Visit to the local 18th century Lucchesi villas like Villa Mansi.
